The Lanka Environment Fund (LEF), Blue Resources Trust (BRT), and the Centre for a Smart Future (CSF) co-hosted the first public screening in Sri Lanka of The Ocean with David Attenborough at Trace Expert City on August 5.

The event brought together conservationists, researchers, students, ocean advocates, and private sector stakeholders to reflect on the critical role oceans play in sustaining life and livelihoods, and what that means for Sri Lanka. The documentary, narrated by Sir David Attenborough, showcases the beauty and complexity of marine ecosystems while shedding light on the urgent threats they face, from overfishing and habitat loss to climate change.
